My Hypnotherapy Story

I have always been fascinated by the power of stories and the healing quality of the human voice. I first began learning Hypnotherapy when I had the realisation that I was always at my happiest whenever I was helping others and being of service. I had wondered which path to take towards that goal, and having been told that I had a “nice voice” I was drawn to hypnotherapy.

During one of my first sessions, my teacher hypnotised me and told me to go to a “special place” in my mind. He had warned me he was going to do this so I might have a place prepared, but when the moment came, I suddenly found myself in long forgotten memory. Instead of the childhood bedroom I had planned on, I flashed back to an experience I had in Scotland as a child where I discovered a hidden cave on one of the Scottish islands. I suddenly remembered the shafts of light coming through the holes in the roof of the cave, and red moss growing over all the boulders, and drops of water falling from above. This was a very real place that I had somehow completely forgotten, but my unconscious mind hadn’t. It still remembered it as “the special place”. From this point on I was convinced that Hypnosis is a powerful tool of healing and self-discovery.

What to expect?

Each hypnotherapy session follows a structure, but no two sessions will be quite alike. After a brief discussion on what you’re hoping to gain from the session, you will be asked to listen to my voice and follow along with simple instructions designed to put you into a light altered state. Once in this state you are given tools for releasing past traumas, anxieties, addictions and more. You will remain in complete control at all times.

You may also be given certain Self-Hypnosis exercises to carry out at home to keep the healing process going outside of the treatment room. Many clients report that learning and practising these techniques is the most powerful aspect of the therapy and played a huge part in changing their lives for the better.

Fees

Sessions can be carried out in the traditional face-to-face format in our comfortable treatment room, or they can be carried out online or over the phone. Although online sessions have certain limitations, they also have the advantage of being in the client’s own environment where they are likely to be their most relaxed, making the treatment even more effective.
